Torgon in summer

Situated at 1,100 m altitude, the peaceful village of Torgon overlooks the Rhône valley and Lake Geneva. Ideally located, the town is close to Montreux and Aigle and only 45 minutes from Lausanne and 75 minutes from Geneva. The town can be reached year-round by car or postal bus. Its pride and glory is the splendid, panoramic view of the Rhône valley and the surrounding Franco-Swiss Alps.

In summer, the resort offers countless itineraries for outings on foot, horseback or mountain bike in the heart of the world-renowned, Franco-Swiss recreational area, the Portes du Soleil. Strolling along trails and through alpine pastures nearly 2,000 m high, the visitor has every opportunity to admire the splendid views of the valley below, not to mention the surrounding landscape rich in alpine flora. The attentive sightseer might even catch a glimpse of some deer or mountain goats nimbly scaling the rocky hillsides.

The resort itself offers a pool and open-air tennis courts, an equestrian centre, a paragliding school, a go-carting slope and charming restaurants specializing in local cuisine. Best of all is the famous Valaisan sunshine.

Torgon in winter

In winter, this family-oriented resort offers countless possibilities for skiers of all levels to find their niche. The excellent snow conditions, the ski school, the cross-country ski trail and the charming village restaurants and nightclub make Torgon an ideal vacation destination from December to April.
