Saas-Almagell is the last of the three villages lined up along the Saastal, the valley above which the famous destination of Saas Fee is perched.

The prestige of Saas-Fee should not detract from the fact that the entire Saas Valley is an extraordinary tourist destination in winter and summer.

The village of Saas-Almagell does not have much charm, except in its oldest parts, which are worth a short walk. We shot some rather picturesque views here.

Further on, the road continues to climb towards the Mattmark dam and its reservoir.
